Schedule

Page history last edited by Stephen Francoeur 8 mos ago

Each college should aim for a weekly schedule that includes at least 5-6 hours a week covering the Academic Cooperative queue. Each college's answering percentage should be at 75% (answering percentage = the number of chat sessions requested on your service divided by the number of chat sessions your staff answered). If a college's answering percentage dips below 75%, it should staff additional weekly hours.

You can compare our schedule grid to the one maintained by QuestionPoint (note that the QuestionPoint grid has times in Pacific time). If you notice any problems with the QuestionPoint grid, please contact Victor Altorio at daltoriv@oclc.org; if you see any problems with our schedule grid here, please make the change yourself and double check that your changes match the QuestionPoint grid.

Scheduling Guidelines

When setting up your schedule for monitoring, always refer first to the set of preferred days and times as determined by QuestionPoint. Wherever possible, try to cover the time slots marked on this page in red, yellow, or blue. Then, look at the 2008 report that shows chat sessions by hour on the CUNY cooperative and try to be online during those hours of the day when most chat sessions are coming in.
